MEMORY
A vessel where memory is held in the surface rather than the form.

Memory explores the way objects can carry history without telling a literal story. Built in white stoneware, the surface is layered with black underglaze before carved and impressed details are revealed again with white underglaze, allowing each mark to emerge as though uncovered rather than applied. The vessel draws quietly from African visual language while embracing the restraint of Japanese ikebana, allowing memory to exist not as decoration but as texture, rhythm and presence.
