SOLACE

Solace was conceived as a vessel that settles rather than announces itself. Built in stoneware and finished through contrasting layers of matte underglaze, textured volcanic glaze and a restrained band of deep red, its character unfolds gradually through changing light and daily use.

Designed for ikebana, the vessel is less about the arrangement it holds than the atmosphere it creates around it. A single branch, an empty stem, or nothing at all can be enough. Over time it becomes part of the rhythm of a room—not demanding attention, but quietly shaping it. Like well-made furniture or a favourite painting, its presence deepens through familiarity.
