CIPHER

An ikebana vessel carrying an imagined language, quietly impressed into its surface.

Stoneware- Hand built

Cipher explores the idea of language before translation. Rather than carving into the clay, its surface is built through repeated impressions that create an abstract vocabulary—marks that feel familiar yet remain unreadable. Finished in a soft matte black, the vessel becomes calm and architectural, allowing shadow to reveal the subtle depth of the pattern. Designed for ikebana, concealed internal supports hold each stem with precision, while the vessel speaks through texture, rhythm and restraint.
