Tower of Absence

An exploration of structure, rhythm and negative space.

Stoneware

Tower of Absence investigates what remains when mass is reduced to its essential framework. Built by hand, each horizontal plane and vertical connection explores balance, proportion and the quiet tension between weight and openness. Light passes through the structure, casting shifting shadows that become part of the work itself.

Neither vessel nor architecture, it exists as a study of space—of what is held, revealed and deliberately left absent. Every angle offers a different rhythm, encouraging the viewer to move around the piece rather than simply look at it.
