PORTRAITS

Similar to my photographic practice, I love coming up close with the lens to see the person, to look into their eyes and to connect. The exhilaration of painting my first portrait still stays with me in all my subsequent portraits. Once again I use my own photography as my source material thus know the different characters of the person and use that as my inspiration to convey different textures and emotion in each portrait painting.
